I taking care of her newborn baby
The first few hours after birth
The first hours after the birth of your baby will be a truly exciting, impressive and joyful experience. In those moments, when you have your baby next to her, you realize that all your dreams, hopes and plans have been realized.
Many mothers ask their doctors or their obstetricians to be left to spend the first few hours after birth with her baby alone, with no one to disturb. This is a very important in the life of every woman and a truly wonderful experience that moment filled with joy; because after nine long months waiting to see the face of your baby, the miracle of new life will finally come to your home, to fill them with joy and happiness; so you really want to clasp him in his arms and give all their love.
After the birth, your newborn should be dried with warm towels very carefully, lest they miss the warmth he felt when he was in her womb. Once you have ensured that the color of the skin is healthy and that the baby behaves normally and is full of energy, you can put it between her breasts, over her abdomen or beside you and your partner to cover him with their bodies and so relaxing with family.
The time together will have a great impact on both you and your newborn baby. It will not only make things look easier and allow you to feel calm to have her baby at her side, but your baby will feel much safer / a - given the new environment that sur- rounded to the feel of your skin, which will provide comfort and warmth. Many people believe that newborn babies recognize the voice and the smell of his mother, and that is why we feel more secure and protected, and therefore may rest more peacefully to stay with them.
Comforting a Crying Baby
We all know that all babies cry, and at least until two weeks of life, is not at all unusual that not many hours sleep at night. You could feel concerned about colic.
This will be a difficult period to bear, and you want to comfort your baby and try to find out what is happening helplessly. All his efforts could end in more tears and no solution that can alleviate or eliminate the problem at hand. That's why we bring here some suggestions that we think could be very effective and simple, and that in turn could eventually calm your baby.
New Positions
Hold your baby with the face upside down, resting on his forearm; with the head resting on his elbow and thumb and fingers of your hand around his hips.
Hold your baby sitting on her hand, with her little back resting on his chest, placing his other hand around her little chest, while her fingers holding the top of his arms.
Hold your baby over your shoulder, so that the stomach of your son / daughter to rest and exert a slight pressure on the bone in his shoulder.
Rock your baby in his arms, supporting her firmly on his tummy.
Rhythmic Movement
Walk around, cradling her baby upright, extending and shrinking his knees rhythmically.
Gently rock your baby from side to side or front to back while you stand in one place.
Rock your baby forward and backward, by sitting in a rocking chair baby safe and comfortable.
Give her heat
Wrap your baby tightly, but very gently in a soft, warm blanket.
Hold your baby close to your body, so you can receive all your heat.
Place a heating pad on the area where you sleep your baby, to warm their clothes before putting it to bed and tuck. A few minutes before the baby lay in his crib or in his bassinet, remember to remove the heating pad and check the temperature of the sheets, to ensure that it is adequate and to allow your child / warm feeling to rest peacefully /to.
Place your baby face down across your lap, having previously wrapped several blankets with a lukewarm bottle, which allow the same / to feel warm and can rest comfortably.
Sounds Calman
Speak in a low voice, whispering soothing words.
Tararéele and sing familiar songs that you would like.
Record an audio tape containing the sound emitted by a dishwasher, a washing machine, a vacuum cleaner or a clothes dryer; to allow your baby gets used to the sounds usually heard at home. A fan or humidifier placed in your baby's room could be very effective, as well as what would be a statically radio tuned between stations.
Listen to classical music, new age, soft rock or soft jazz. Nothing heavy rock, please !. This kind of music to be nervous and your baby too.
The Importance of Touch
Massage firmly but very gently your baby's back, starting from the little neck down to the soles of the feet.
Gently pat or gently rub your baby's back; as well as their limbs. In a warm room, put your baby on a firm surface and gently massage your tummy, rubbing his stomach with rotating movements respect the sense that clockwise move.
If you think that the discomforts are caused by flatulence or gasecitos, massage on the tummy could be very effective to solve such problems. Then carefully lift your Littleknees and carefully press them into your abdomen so - this way-it can release the accumulated gases.
